Yeah, a quick tip, don’t cycle down the Pyrenees with drum breaks, they simply don’t work!

It was all down hill from Manresa, that’s the most disapointing! Dreading checking for the route data…

I share your frustration and disappointment, but on the positive side, it’s much better that it’s the bike and not you that is broken. Sounds like that accident could have ended quite differently if you hadn’t managed to steer clear of on-coming traffic.

Fingers crossed that you haven’t lost all your route data. If it has been though, maybe you could consider repeating your journey, but on a ‘proper’ bike???…

By the state of your gloves, it does look as though you have been physically using your gloved hands on the wheels to slow down to compensate for the knackered drum brakes!

Looks like some good advice on this road sign, Darren. Still, you’ve come a long way, so why deny us of enjoyment of your trials and tribulations, just as things are getting interesting for you!

Fingers crossed your wheels hold out, your Heath Robinson repairs seem ingenious. Hope that doesn’t turn out to be a case of “spoke too soon…"!

I hope you are following the four Cs, and remember:

Don’t wash raw chicken.
Make sure chicken is steaming hot all the way through before serving. Cut in to the thickest part of the meat and check that it is steaming hot with no pink meat and that the juices run clear.

Incredible, even for you.
You’ll have to try harder to get cash out of me, but I am enjoying your pain.

Keep going Dazza. :-)
